Sunclear is the first customer at Val d’Europe logistics centre near Paris, which was completed early June. The distributor has strengthened its logistics network by leasing a part of this high-end site.

French company Sunclear, a leading distributor of professional plastic, aluminium and composite sheeting, is the first customer to grow its business at Goodman’s Val d’Europe logistics centre at Bailly-Romainvilliers (Seine-et-Marne department) to support its growth. Sunclear is leasing three units with a total area of 18,550 sqm.

Frédéric Rolain, Managing Director of Sunclear, commented, “Our business is growing rapidly and we needed an additional facility in the East of the Ile-de-France region. The Goodman site at Bailly-Romainvilliers meets our needs perfectly: immediate availability, high-quality infrastructure, and proximity to our original building in Ferrière-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne department); so many factors which will allow us to strengthen our presence in the region.”

The site is at the heart of the Parc d'Entreprises Val d'Europe, 25 minutes away from Paris via the A4 and accessible via two motorway interchanges. Its location is very convenient for the employees thanks to the proximity of the RER A train station and the Marne-La-Vallée Chessy train station, which is 10 minutes away, and makes it just a few hours from major European capitals such as London, Amsterdam and Berlin.

This building has a number of important features: 29,000 sqm of warehouse space spread across five units with a free height of 11.5 metres and offers 1,500 sqm of high-quality office space, dedicated to the well-being of the employees.

From the site entrance, the landscaping is welcoming with large shrubs and trees lining the way, while green spaces emphasize the entrances to offices. The wooden frames of the structure are visible throughout the interior architecture of the office withthe office windows atfull height inviting an abundance of natural light. In addition, there are two roof terraces where employees can enjoy open living spaces.

The building is equipped with LED lighting and a building management system (BMS) to control and optimise energy performance, giving it a Very Good Breeam certification, underlining Goodman's commitment to sustainable development.

The recently completed Goodman Val d’Europe logistics centre is the result of a close collaboration between l’EpaFrance, Euro Disney, Val d’Europe Agglomération and Goodman.
