Goodman, a global leader in logistics real estate, in conjunction with Real Estate Development by Euro Disney, has commenced the construction of a new 32,000 sqm logistics centre on a prime landbank in Bailly-Romainvilliers, at the heart of Val d’Europe (Seine-et-Marne). Completion is expected by next spring.
Driven by a unique public-private partnership between the government, local authorities and Euro Disney, Val d’Europe has become one of the most dynamic and attractive urban and business centres in the Paris region, and a major European tourist attraction.
The launch of this project is the result of close collaboration between EpaFrance, Euro Disney, Val d’Europe Agglomération (comprising the seven municipalities of the territory) and Goodman.
Commenting on the benefits of the Val d’Europe area, Christophe Giral, Director of Real Estate at Euro Disney, said:"The area around Disney offers many benefits and is achieving its objectives in terms of quality of life, transport and maintaining a balance between the number of residents and the number of workers. Val d’Europe is becoming a true innovative hub particularly attractive for large enterprises and corporate headquarters, and partners like Goodman help us to accelerate this strategic development”.
A high-quality site and a unique location - just outside Paris and in the heart of Europe
The next generation logistics centre developed by Goodman in Val d’Europe will be located just 25 minutes from Paris using the A4 and will benefit from direct access via a dual interchange. It is also 25 minutes from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport and ten minutes from the TGV Marne-la-Vallée Chessy train station, connecting it to major European capital cities such as London, Amsterdam and Berlin in just a few hours.
This state-of-the-art class A building offers unique benefits to future customers. It will consist of 29,000 sqm of warehouse space spread across 5 units, with a storage height of 11.5 meters. The building will include 1,500 sqm of high-class offices, all timber-framed and accented with two tree-filled roof terraces demonstrating Goodman’s commitment to sustainability.
The future hub will be fully fitted with LED lighting and a building management system to control and optimise energy performance. The target is to meet BREEAM’s "Very Good" rating.
Philippe Arfi, Managing Director of Goodman France commented on the new logistics facility, "Goodman is constantly on the lookout for the best locations in order to meet the needs of its customers. The logistics and office centre that we are developing in Val d’Europe allows us to offer an exceptional solution in every respect, from its strategic location to the outstanding quality of the future building. Our prospective customer will be able to enjoy unrivalled operational conditions for its teams."
