Goodman has appointed Philippe Arfi as Director France. He will continue the Group’s strategy to focus on growth opportunities in the French market, where Goodman is an owner, developer and manager of logistics space.
Philippe Van der Beken, Managing Director Goodman Continental Europe said the appointment of Philippe Arfi as Director France was a natural progression for Goodman. “Having spent the past five years with Goodman in France, Philippe Arfi brings a wealth of experience to this role. He not only has a solid track record in real estate but also the trust and confidence of our customers with whom he has developed strong relationships. I believe his leadership will drive forward our plans for France over the coming years,” he said.
Philippe Arfi replaces Jean-François Mounic who has made a significant contribution to Goodman’s business during the past seven years. He will remain with Goodman for an interim period to ensure a smooth transition for the business, its customers and partners.
Jean-François Mounic said that while he would miss working with the dedicated and professional French team it was time for a change. “I am proud to have played a part in the development of Goodman in France and will continue to follow Goodman’s progress. The baton has now passed to Philippe Arfi who has the vision and determination to continue Goodman’s strategy,” he said.
Philippe Van der Beken also paid tribute to Jean-François Mounic and thanked him for his years of commitment to Goodman and the important and valued contribution he made to the business in France.
Philippe Arfi joined Goodman in April 2008, and has been head of Business Development for France since 2010. During this time he led the development team and drove the commercial strategy for Goodman in France, creating flexible solutions tailored to customer needs. Under his leadership the French team secured 300,000 sqm of new developments including a 90,000 sqm warehouse for Amazon.
Prior to joining Goodman, Philippe Arfi was Director of Real Estate at the Sernam Group. Commenting on his new role, Philippe Arfi said: “I am really delighted to make this move to lead Goodman’s French team. It presents enormous opportunities and I look forward to further developing our position in France.”
Goodman manages a logistics portfolio of approx. 870,000 sqm of assets with a value of €450 million in France. It has 123 logistics properties under management in 11 countries in continental Europe equating to 4.5 million sqm in assets, as at 30 June 2013.
