Our increasing level of rooftop solar and lighting upgrades, as well as a range of other energy efficient measures all contribute to our projected carbon neutral status. These and other investments showcase how Goodman is determined to reach its targets of 100% renewable energy use and carbon neutral operations by 2025.
Solar energy is a CO2-free renewable energy source. It produces no greenhouse gases and needs no fuel or other resources such as water or wind to produce electricity. Harnessing this power by installing solar panels can make a significant difference to the planet.

In The Netherlands, Goodman’s intermediate goal of developing net-zero carbon emission buildings was reached some time ago. In 2020, two zero energy-use buildings for logistics were completed, and at least two more net-zero carbon emissions buildings are scheduled for delivery in 2021. This means that we have delivered properties that are both energy saving and comfort enhancing, providing sustainability for all.
Features of a net-zero carbon emission building:
The LED lighting in our properties delivers better quality lighting and more importantly it also saves energy. By the end of 2021, 90% of our properties in The Netherlands will be equipped with smart meters enabling customers to proactively optimise their electricity, gas and water usage.
